Britney Spears announced Friday afternoon via Twitter that she will be adding another performance to her calendar. The pop star will make an appearance for a mini concert Friday night at Rain nightclub in Las Vegas' Palms Casino and Resort. Spears' highly anticipated upcoming album Femme Fatale is set to be released in less than a week.
According to MTV, Britney Tweeted "Looks like my little secret isn't a secret anymore. Who's coming to watch me take the stage TONIGHT at @RainLasVegas at @PalmsLasVegas? You're all invited. Be there or be square b*tch!"
USA Today reports that Spears will be then spending her weekend in San Francisco to tape performance of songs off of Femme Fatale.

According to a report in the British Daily Star, Palms Resort owner George Maloof told the pop singer that she was "a perfect fit" to become a permanent act at the Las Vegas casino-resort.
The Star article notes that Maloof is ready to offer Lady GaGa a multi-million dollar deal for her to become a resident act at his casino on the Las Vegas strip. "You know you've just seen a superstar," Maloof reportedly observed.

The MTV Video Music Awards this year will be broadcast live from Las Vegas, the cable network announced Wednesday.
The show will air live September 9 from the Palms Casino Resort.
"We're deconstructing every expectation of what an awards show should be to deliver a music experience for our audience, unlike anyone else connecting them beyond television," MTV President Christina Norman said in a statement. "We look forward to a weekend of rock n' roll chaos and producing the most sinful and explosive musical showcase of the year."
